Meet The Founder
Jill Hobbs
President / Senior Consultant
A native of Princeton, Kentucky, Jill Hobbs possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) in the field of human resources. Jill began her career more than 20 years ago as an HR Coordinator for Red Spot Paint & Varnish in Evansville, Indiana. After being promoted to Labor Relations Specialist, she then went on to become the HR Manager of Cortegra Group, a pharmaceutical packaging firm headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin. In 2008, after the birth of her first child, Jill moved back “home” to Paducah where she served as the Director of Human Resources for James Marine and its 1,000+ employee operation. After her second child came along, Mrs. Hobbs went on to become the Corporate Director of Human Resources for Swift & Staley, a federal government contractor working directly with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Prior to becoming an HR Consultant, Jill served as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for EZ Portable Buildings.
Jill strives to make a difference within her profession and her community. Over the past decade, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Paducah- McCracken County United Way, elected as President of the Four Rivers Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), been an active volunteer within the Paducah-Area Chamber of Commerce, a Steering Committee Member for the Paducah Young Professionals (PYP), a graduate of Leadership Paducah’s Class #28, was a finalist for the “Young Leader of Western Kentucky” award, and took home the 1st place trophy in Paducah’s Star Ball dance competition where she single handedly raised more than $30,000 for a local non-profit.
Jill was incredibly grateful and extremely excited to start an HR consulting firm that would help meet the demands of business owners & HR professionals who need an extra hand and a little guidance. For so many years she saw first-hand how CEO’s and their Management Teams simply did not have the resources or the time to tackle the countless employee challenges that landed on their plate. This was a problem she knew she could help solve, which ultimately led to the birth of HR Consulting Solutions.
